Post-flood electrical. Grafton sits behind a levee and South Grafton does not, and the 2022 floods reminded everybody what that means. Any board, socket or circuit that has been under water needs to be properly assessed rather than dried out and hoped for. If your property took water and the electrical work was never formally signed off, get it looked at.

Working around the Jacarandas

One genuinely local thing: if your job involves an outdoor condenser, a private pole or anything that needs a truck on the verge, October and November in Grafton are worth planning around. Jacaranda Festival brings road closures, parking restrictions and a lot of visitors into the CBD and the streets around See Park.
